Ons Jabeur qualified for the third round of the WTA 500 Credit One Charleston Open after a straight-set victory versus Lesia Tsurenko

The second-seeded Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) took a straight-set victory versus Lesia Tsurenko (Ukraine) and qualified for the third round of the WTA 500 Credit One Charleston Open. Tunisian tennis player won by 2-0 (6:3, 6:3) in 1:27 hours of play.

Ons Jabeur started the first set with two breaks and took a lead of 4:0. She missed three set points at 5:1 and lost her next serving game, but finally closed the set at 6:3.

The second set started with the exchange of breaks for both players, but Ons Jabeur succeeded to take a lead with another break. Both players won their serve games and at 5:3, the Tunisian tennis player succeeded to make another break and won the set and the match.

In the next round, Ons Jabeur will face the winner between Linda Fruhvirtova (Czech Republic) and Caroline Dolehide (USA).

The sixth-seeded Victoria Azarenka (Belarus) defeated Sloane Stephens (USA) and also qualified for the third round of the WTA 500 Credit One Charleston Open, where will face Anna Kalinskaya (Russia), who eliminated Alize Cornet (France) by 2-1 (7:6, 4:6, 6:2).
