Ons Jabeur qualified for the quarterfinals of the French Open tennis championship

Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) qualified for the quarterfinals of the French Open tennis championship. The 8th-seeded Tunisian tennis player prevailed by 2-0 (6:4, 6:4) against Clara Tauson (Denmark), who is on the 72nd place in the world ranking.

The three-time Grand Slam finalist made a total of three breaks to just one for the Danish player and wrapped up the match in one hour and 35 minutes on her first match point.

In the next round, Ons Jabeur will face third-seeded Coco Gauff (USA). The American eliminated easily by 2-0 (6:1, 6:2) Elisabetta Cocciaretto (Italy), who is in the 45th position in the WTA ranking.

Coco Gauff won the US Open last season and made the final at Roland Garros 2022.

The American tennis player has four successes in a total of six matches against Ons Jabeur. In the only meeting between the two in Paris (in 2021), the victory went to Coco Gauff.
