Ons Jabeur qualified for the quarter-finals of the Roland Garros

The 7th-seeded Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur qualified for the quarter-finals of the Roland Garros after defeating Bernarda Pera (USA) by 2-0 (6:3, 6:1) in 64 minutes.

The first set has total of 8 breaks out of 9 games. Ons Jabeur took a lead of 3:0 after two breaks, which after registering break in each game by the end, proved to be enough for winning the set by 6:3. In the second set, both again exchanged a break in the beginning, before Ons Jabeur took control of the match and won the next 5 games to close the set at 6:1.

In the quarter-finals, Ons Jabeur will face Beatriz Haddad Maia (Brazil), who eliminated Sara Sorribes Tormo (Spain) after 2-1 (6:7, 6:3, 7:5).

The top-seeded Iga Swiatek (Poland) also advanced to the quarter-finals after retiring of her opponent Lesia Tsurenko (Ukraine) in the first set at lead of 5:1 for the Polish player. In the quarter-finals, she will face the 6th-seeded Cori Coco Gauff (USA0, who eliminated Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (Slovakia) by 2-0 (7:5, 6:2).

Tomorrow, Roland Garros will continue with the first two quarter-finals Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic) versus Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (Russia) and Elina Svitolina (Ukraine) versus Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus).
