Ons Jabeur took a lead of 3:0 after two breaks, which after registering break in each game by the end, proved to be enough for winning the set by 6:3. In the second set, both again exchanged a break in the beginning, before Ons Jabeur took control of the match and won the next 5 games to close the set at 6:1.
In the quarter-finals, Ons Jabeur will face Beatriz Haddad Maia (Brazil), who eliminated Sara Sorribes Tormo (Spain) after 2-1 (6:7, 6:3, 7:5).
The top-seeded Iga Swiatek (Poland) also advanced to the quarter-finals after retiring of her opponent Lesia Tsurenko (Ukraine) in the first set at lead of 5:1 for the Polish player.
