Olympic champion Anna Shcherbakova will miss the Russian figure skating championship

Olympic champion in figure skating Anna Shcherbakova will not participate in the Russian championship, which will be held from December 20 to 25 in Krasnoyarsk. On August 18, the Russian woman underwent meniscus surgery.

“Now I try to give my best in every training session. For now, it can be called physiotherapy, but I’m trying to get in shape”, said Anna Shcherbakova.

The Russian woman said that she felt some nervousness before making a demonstrative appearance in Moscow.

“Competitions can never be compared to the show. Now I’m nervous, it’s my first time on the ice after an injury, after an operation. I can’t say that after the Olympics I started to feel more responsibility, but I’m very satisfied, that my performances inspire results”, added she.
