Olympic and World champion Katie Moon won the pole vault gold at the Diamond League in Doha

The reigning Olympic and World champion Katie Moon won the pole vault gold at the Diamond League in Doha. The American pole vault athlete achieved 4.81m.

Slovenian pole vaulter Tina Sutej took the silver with 4.76m, equaling the Slovenia national record.

Third in the competition was another American athlete – Sandi Morris. She achieved 4.71m, which was enough for the bronze medal.

Katerina Stefanidi (Greece) and Roberta Bruni (Italy) remained 4th with 4.55m, while Bridget Williams (USA) was 6th.

Kathryn Moon is an American athlete, specializing in pole vaulting. She won gold medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and 2022 World Athletics Championships, and a silver at the 2022 World Indoor Championships. She was also 2019 Pan American Games silver medalist.
