Oluwakemi Mujidat Adekoya won the 400m hurdles gold at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games

Oluwakemi Mujidat Adekoya (Bahrain) won the 400m hurdles gold at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. The Bahrain athlete triumphed in the event setting a new Games record of 54.45 sec. The silver went to Jiadie Mo (China) with 55.01 sec, while the bronze remained for Vithya Ramraj (India), finishing in 55.68 sec.

The medalists were far ahead of the followers Aminat Oluwaseun Yusuf Jamal (Bahrain) and Lauren Hoffman (Philippines), finishing in 56.84 sec and 57.21 sec, respectively.

In the women’s 5,000m event, Parul Chaudhary (India) won the gold with 15:14.75 min, while Ririka Hironaka (Japan) earned the silver with 15:15.34 min and Caroline Chepkoech Kipkirui (Kazakhstan) remained with the bronze, finishing in 15:23.12 min.

In the women’s 4x100m relay, Chinese team triumphed with the gold. Xiaojing Liang, Yongli Wei, Qiqi Yuan, and Manqi Ge took the distance in 43.39 sec. The silver went to Thailand’s women’s relay of Supawan Thipat, Supanich Poolkerd, On Uma Chattha and Sukanda Petraksa, who finished in 44.32 sec. Malaysian team of Azreen Nabila Binti Alias, Zaidatul Husniah Binti Zulkifli, Nur Afrina Batrisyia, and Vallabouy Shereen Samson remained with the bronze, finishing for 45.01 sec.
