Nigerian sprinter Nzubechi Grace Nwokocha has been suspended by the Athletics Federation for using ostarine and ligandrol. The punishment is effective from September 2, 2022.
Nzubechi Grace Nwokocha was part of Nigeria’s 4x100m relays (along with Tobi Amusan, Rosemary Chukwuma, and Favour Ofili) that won gold medals at the Commonwealth Games.
The rights of the 21-year-old Nzubechi Grace Nwokocha are temporarily suspended until the final decision on the case.
Nzubechi Grace Nwokocha is a Nigerian sprinter, a multiple-time national champion over 100m. In 2021, she posted new personal best time in the 100m of 11.09 sec and, in the process, became the first Nigerian athlete to qualify for the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She also won the 100m at the National Sports Festival in Benin. In 2022 she came sixth in the final of the NCAA championship in both the 100m and the 200m. She entered both the 100m and the 200m at the 2022 World Athletics Championships and reached the semi-finals at both events. She also won the Nigerian National Championships over 100m.
