Norway defeated Slovenia by 26-23 (16-15) and remains unbeaten at the top of Group 1 at the European Women’s Handball Championship.
The players of Thorir Hergeirsson overcame the 3 goals deficit from the beginning of the first half and overturned the score. Both halves, however, were contested and the Slovenian team has its chance to win the match. At the very end of the match the result was 23-23, but three straight goals for Norway ended the match in their favor.
For the winners, Henny Ella Reistad was the top scorer with 10 goals, while Nora Mork added 6 goals and Stine Bredal Oftedal scored 4 goals. For Slovenia, Ana Gros scored 5 goals, while Natasa Ljepoja scored 4 goals.
In another match of the group, Sweden won their match versus Hungary by 30-25 (18-15). Jamina Roberts was the top scorer for Sweden with 9 goals.
