Norway defeated Sweden and topped the Group 1 of the European Women’s Handball Championship

Norway defeated Sweden by 27-25 and topped the Group 1 of the European Women’s Handball Championship.

The team led by Thorir Hergeirsson had the hardest match so far in the championship but since the middle of the second half they did not lose the advantage and finally finished with a victory.

Henny Ella Reistad was the top scorer for Norway with 7 goals, while Vilde Ingstad added 6 goals for the success. For Sweden, Jenny Carlson scored 9 goals and Linn Blohm added 7 goals.

In the other match of the group, Denmark defeated Croatia by 26-17 (14-8) and is currently second in the overall standings. Eleven players of the Denmark team scored during the match, with Kristina Jorgensen being the top scorer with 5 goals.
