Norway defeated South Korea by 33-23 and kept their full asset after the three matches in Group C of the Women’s World Handball Championships.
Camilla Herrem was the top-scorer for the winners with 7 goals, while Maren Nyland Aardahl, Ingvild Bakkerud and Sanna Solberg-Isaksen added 4 goals each. Shin Eun-Joo with 6 goals and Ryu Eun-Hee with 5 goals were the best for South Korea.
In another match from the group Austria defeated Greenland by 43-23 and secured their second position in the group, while South Korea remained 3rd.
In Group A, Croatia smashed China by 39-13 with Valentina Blazevic, Mia Brkic, Lara Buric, Dejana Milosavljevic and Andrea Simara scored 5 goals each. In the other match in the group, Sweden smashed Senegal by 26-18 with 6 goals by Jamina Roberts and 5 goals by Nathalie Hagman. Sweden is the leader in the group, while Croatia is second and Senegal remained third.
Ukraine defeated Kazakhstan by 37-24, while the South American champion Brazil lost to Spain by 25-27. Thus, Spain won the group, followed by Brazil and Ukraine and Denmark smashed Chile by 46-11.
