Nafissatou Thiam won the heptathlon gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics

Nafissatou Thiam has shown that she is the queen of the heptathlon when it comes to Olympic Games. The 29-year-old Belgian athlete triumphed at the Paris 2024 Olympics for the third time in a row and became the first woman in history to do so. Nafissatou Thiam collected an asset of 6,880 points for the first position. In the 100m hurdles she recorded 13.56 sec, in the high jump she cleared 1.92m, in the shot put 15.54m, in the 200m she clocked at 24.46 sec, achieved 6.41m in the long jump, 54.04m in the javelin and 2:10.62min in the 800m.

Her great rival and two-time world champion in the discipline Katarina Johnson-Thompson (Great Britain) fought well for the first place, but with 6,844 points she deserved the silver. In the individual disciplines, the British athlete achieved the following results: 13.40 sec in the 100m hurdles, 1.92m in the high jump, 14.44m in the shot put, 23.44 sec in the 200 m, 6.40m in the long jump, 45.49m in the javelin and 2:04.90 min at 800 m.

Two-time indoor pentathlon world champion Noor Vidts (Belgium) won bronze in Paris with 6,707 points.

The top 5 in the event was completed by Annik Kalin (Switzerland) with 6,639 points and Anna Hall (USA) with 6,615 points.
