Nadine Visser and Lorraine Ugen will compete at the World Athletic Tour in Madrid

The world’s indoor medalists Nadine Visser and Lorraine Ugen were announced as participants in the final competition of the “gold labeled” World Athletic Tour in Madrid on March 2nd.

Nadine Visser already knows what it feels like to win in Madrid after doing so last year. She then broke her own Dutch national record in the 60m hurdles to 7.81 sec. Later last season, the 27-year-old athlete adjusted her achievement to 7.77 sec for the European title in Torun.

She also won bronze at the 2018 Birmingham World Indoor Championships. In 2021, Nadine Visser finished fifth in the Tokyo 2022 Olympics at 100m hurdles, and in previous years was sixth at the 2019 Doha World Open. She is also seventh at the 2017 World Championships in London.

Lorraine Ugen was a bronze medalist in the long jump at the 2016 World Indoor Championships in Portland, when she won the medal with a British record with the 6.93-meter. A year later, the Briton won silver at the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade with a new record of 6.97 m.

She has already recorded one victory this season. The 30-year-old Briton won the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix with 6.71 m.
