Four-time European cross-country title holder Nadia Battocletti made her 10,000m debut. She won the gold medal at the Italian 10,000 m championship in Brescia. Nadia Battocletti, who finished seventh in the 5,000m final at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, cruised to the title in 33:06.25 min. So she already has 31 Italian titles in different ages and disciplines.
The 23-year-old pulled clear in the last 700 meters from Anna Arnaudo – who has accompanied Nadia Battocletti on many victorious Italian teams at the SPAR European Cross Country Championships – who was second in 33:16.95 min.
Nadia Battocletti is an Italian female middle- and long-distance runner. She won the gold medal for the 5,000m at the 2021 European Under-23 Championships. She earned four individual gold medals in the U20 and U23 age groups at the European Cross Country Championships. She is the Italian record holder for the indoor 3,000m and 5km road race. As a 17-year-old, Nadia Battocletti won the bronze medal in the 3,000m at the 2017 European U20 Championships. At the 2019 edition of this championship, she earned silver for the 5,000m. She won an Italian national title at senior level in 2018, becoming the first Italian millennial to do that.
