Montenegro prevailed over Spain in Group D of the European Women’s Handball Championship

The team of Montenegro prevailed over Spain by 30-23 on the second day of the European Women’s Handball Championship. The Montenegrin national team took an early 6-1 lead before pulling away at the break at 12-9.

In the second half, the Montenegrin handball players were even more convincing and increased their lead, eventually winning by seven goals. Jovanka Radicevic and Djurdjina Jaukovic finished for Montenegro with 5 goals each. Alexandrina Cabral Barbosa also scored 5 goals for the Spanish women.

In the other match of the group, Germany also overcame the resistance of Poland and took the victory by 25-23.

Thus, leaders in Group D of the European Women’s Handball Championship is Montenegro and Germany with 3 pts, while Poland and Spain are pointless.

France had no problems with the Republic of North Macedonia in Group C, beating them by 24:14. 10 players scored goals for France, with Coralie Lassource finishing with 4 goals. The top scorer in the match was Monika Janeska from the Republic of North Macedonia with 5 goals.

The Netherlands defeated Romania by 29-28 with Laura van der Heijden scoring 7 goals.
