The Dutch swimmer Marrit Steenbergen won her second individual title and fourth overall at the European Swimming Championships in Rome. The 22-year-old swimmer, who has already won gold in the 100m freestyle and two of the relays, was also fastest in the 200m freestyle with 1:56.36.
She edged out Britain’s Freya Anderson, who finished second in 1:56.52. The bronze award went to Isabel Marie Gose from Germany with 1:57.09 minutes.
Marrit Steenbergen is a Dutch competitive swimmer. Among her other awards is the gold medal in the 100m freestyle at the 2015 European Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan, where she also won 5 silver medals in 50m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 4x100m freestyle, 4x200m freestyle, 4x100m medley. At the 2016 London Euopean Championships, she won two gold medals in 4x100m freestyle, and 4x100m mixed freestyle.
