Marina Rodriguez smashed Michelle “Karate Hottie” Waterson-Gomez at the UFC Vegas 79

The Brazilian MMA fighter Marina Rodriguez defeated American karate hottie Michelle Waterson-Gomez.

Marina Rodriguez won by TKO in the second round. The fight was part of the main card of the UFC Vegas 79 event. It was the first success for the 36-year-old Brazilian mixed martial artist in her last three fights. She used excellent striking to open up several Michelle Waterson-Gomez, and finally ended the fight with a takedown and ground-and-pound on the ground.

“Throughout my training, I knew I had to get back to being the mean fighter that I am in order to win again. I would like to challenge Tatiana Suarez. I think she has to prove herself before they give her a fight for the title”, said the Brazilian MMA fighter Marina Rodriguez.

For Michelle Waterson-Gomez, also known as the Karate Hottie, this was the sixth defeat in the last seven fights.

In another fight from the UFC Vegas 79, Mizuki Inoue defeated Hannah Goldy after an unanimous decision.
