Marie Bouzkova defeated Amanda Anisimova in the second round of the WTA 250 ASB Classic

The Czech tennis player Marie Bouzkova defeated Amanda Anisimova (USA) by 2-0 (6:0, 6:1) in the second round of the WTA 250 ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand. The Czech player needed only 51 minutes to defeat her opponent after achieving five breaks in total.

Amanda Anisimova was not as accurate as needed on the first serve and also made 3 double faults. On the other hand, Marie Bouzkova had 81% success on first serves and won 77% of the points.

In the third round, Marie Bouzkova will face the winner between Emma Raducanu (UK) and Elina Svitolina (Ukraine).

Diane Parry (France) brought the big surprise of the day, eliminating the 3rd-seeded Lesia Tsurenko (Ukraine) after 2-1 (2:6, 6:4, 6:1), while Emma Navarro (USA) defeated Elina Avanesyan (Russia) by 2-0 (6:1, 6:2).

In the all-Chinese clash in the second round, Xiyu Wang defeated Xinyu Wang by 2-1 (6:3, 3:6, 7:6).
