Maria Timofeeva qualified for the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Hungarian Grand Prix

The 19-years-old Russian tennis talent Maria Timofeeva qualified for the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Hungarian Grand Prix after defeating her compatriot Diana Shnaider by 2-0 (6:1, 6:1) in 58 minutes.

Maria Timofeeva smashed her opponent after taking a lead of 5:0 in both sets, which proved to be enough for winning the match in less than an hour.

In the next round, she will face Kaja Juvan (Slovenia).

Nadia Podoroska (Argentina) also qualified for the quarter-finals of the tournament after eliminating Anna Siskova (Czech Republic) by 2-0 (6:3, 6:0) and in will face Elina Avanesyan (Russia), who eliminated Anna Bondar (Russia) by 2-0 (6:3, 6:0).

The Ukrainian tennis player Kateryna Baindl is the last quarter-finalist at the WTA 250 Hungarian Grand Prix after defeating Amarissa Kiara Toth (Hungary) by 2-0 (6:3, 6:1).
