The top-seeded Maria Sakkari continue her good performance at the WTA 250 Parma Ladies Open and qualified for the semi-finals after defeating Maryna Zanevska by 2-1 (2:6, 6:4, 6:4). The match lasted 2:22 hours and offered a lot of emotions for the fans.
The first set was under the total dominance of the Belgian tennis player Maryna Zanevska, who broke the serve of Maria Sakkari three times.
The Greek player overturned the match in the second set after taking a lead of 5:2 with two breaks. She was serving for the set, but Maryna Zanevska made a break and returned to the match, winning her next serving game and reduced the advantage to 5:4. In the 10th game, however, Maria Sakkari was stable enough to win on the first set point.
The third set was very thought and both players were quite tired. Both players exchanged a break and Maryna Zanevska succeeded to take a lead of 1:3, but finally, Maria Sakkari overturned it again to equalize to 3:3 and then winning another break to take a lead and succeeded to close the match at the fourth match point.

In the Romanian battle of the day, the 6th-seeded Ana Bogdan defeated the 3rd-seeded Irina-Camelia Begu by 2-0 (6:2, 7:6) and qualified for the semi-finals, where will face Mayar Sherif.
