Mackenzie Dern vs Jessica Andrade at the UFC 295

The UFC 295 event was boosted with a fight in the women’s strawweight division. Former division champion Jessica Andrade (24-12-0) will face submission master and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Mackenzie Dern (16-3-0). The news was announced on the official UFC website.

The fight gala will take place on November 11th in New York City at Madison Square Garden and will be headlined by Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic.

Jessica Andrade suffered a loss just a month ago. She lost to rising star Tatiana Suarez. This was the third consecutive defeat for the Brazilian and the sixth in her last ten fights.

World submission grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion Mackenzie Dern defeated Angela Hill in her last appearance. The 30-year-old MMA fighter earned her sixth career bonus with a unanimous decision win over Angela Hill.

Mackenzie Dern is an American and Brazilian professional mixed martial artist and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. She is a former world No 1 ranked IBJJF competitor, currently ranked 6th among the female divisions. She is an ADCC and no gi BJJ (black belt) World Champion. As of today, she is No 8 in the UFC women’s strawweight rankings. She is multiple World, European and Asian champion in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
