Luisa Bertani won the women’s giant slalom in Pozza di Fassa

Italian-born Alpine skier Luisa Bertani, who competes for Bulgaria, won the women’s giant slalom in Pozza di Fassa (Italy) on the FIS calendar. The 26-year-old Luisa Bertani gave a total time of 1:44.33 min for the two runs. She was fifth after the first run in 51.29 sec, but managed to achieve a second time in the second run of 53.04 sec, which ultimately gave her the win.

In second place was the Austrian Sophia Waldauf with a lag of 0.37 sec. Finland’s Erika Pykalainen was in third place at 0.41 sec.

For Luisa Bertani, this is the third consecutive victory in the FIS giant slalom after the two successes in Kronplatz last week.

Another women’s giant slalom is coming up in Pozza di Fassa on Thursday.
