Luisa Bertani finished third in the second women’s giant slalom in Pozza di Fassa (Italy) on the FIS calendar.
The 26-year-old Italian-born Alpine skier, who competes for Bulgaria, gave a total time of 1:45.57 min from the two runs. She was third after the first run with 52.53 sec and gave the 20th time in the second – 53:04 sec.
The winner was the Italian Elisa Platino with 1:44.12 min, and Katharina Huber (Austria) came second with a lag of 1.17 sec. Luisa Bertani is in third place, 1.45 sec behind the champion.
Prior to this start, Luisa Bertani had made it three consecutive FIS giant slalom victories following yesterday’s success on the same track and the two first places in Kronplatz last week. Next week, Luisa Bertani will start again in Kronplatz, but this time in the World Cup, with the two giant slaloms scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday (January 24-25).
