Lucia Bronzetti won the title at the WTA 250 Morocco Open in Rabat

The Italian tennis player Lucia Bronzetti won the title at the WTA 250 Morocco Open in Rabat after winning the final versus Julia Grabher (Austria) by 2-1 (6:4, 5:7, 7:5) in 2:49 hours of play.

Lucia Bronzetti started the first set with a break, but her opponent succeeded to return it in the 4th game and equalized to 2:2. Another break for the Italian player in the 7th game gave her an important lead, which she used to close the set by 6:4.

The second set was running equally, until the 9th game, when Lucia Bronzetti took a lead with a break and served for the match. However, Julia Grabher did not retreat and immediately returned the break, which was a cold wash for her opponent who suffered another loss at her serve to allow the Austrian player to close the set at 7:5.

Julia Grabher took a lead in the third set by 3:1, but Lucia Bronzetti won 4 consecutive games to overturn the result to 5:3. And the situation from the previous set repeated, when the Italian was serving for the match and her opponent stopped it. This time Lucia Bronzetti made another break and succeeded to close the set by 7:5 and win the match.

This is the first WTA title for Lucia Bronzetti, who played one final so far at WTA 250 Palermo Ladies Open, but lost to Irina-Camelia Begu (Romania).
