Liudmila Samsonova is out of the WTA 500 Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington

Russian tennis player Liudmila Samsonova failed to finish her match in the second round of the WTA 500 Mubadala Citi DC Open tournament in Washington, USA.

At the beginning of the competition, Liudmila Samsonova faced Paula Badosa (Spain), but lost the first set by 2:6, then decided to withdraw from the match, possibly due to injury.

The match lasted a total of 43 minutes. During them, Liudmila Samsonova never made two double faults and converted two break points out of three opportunities. Paula Badosa had three aces and three double faults.

In the quarter-finals of the tournament, the Spanish player will face Emma Raducanu (Great Britain).
