Lisa Vittozzi won the Women’s Biathlon World Cup for the 2023/2024 season. For the Italian biathlete, this is the first Grand Crystal Globe in her career.
Lisa Vittozzi made five shooting errors to finish 21st in the 12.5km mass start, the final race of the season, and that was enough to retain the overall lead he took after yesterday’s pursuit victory.
Lou Jeanmonnot (France) won the mass start and triumphed with the Small Crystal Globe in the discipline. The French biathlete made one mistake in the four shots and finished first with a time of 32:55.0 min. Janina Hettich (Germany) was second with one shooting error and a lag of 11.9 sec.
Gilonne Guigonnat (France) shot clear and finished third, 15.8 sec behind the winner.
In the final general standings, Lisa Vittozzi is first with 1,091 points, followed by Lou Jeanmonnot with 1,068 points and Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold (Norway) with 1,044 points.
For the Small Crystal Globe cup in the mass start, Lou Jeanmonnot won with 252 points, and after today’s race, she overtook her compatriot Julia Simon, who remained second with 241 points. Third is Lena Häcki-Grосс (Switzerland) with 205 points.
