Lilia Vu wins LPGA Tour’s Chevron Championship

American golfer Lilia Vu wins LPGA Tour’s The Chevron Championship after a playoff victory over Angel Yin on the final hole. Both golfers finished the competition at par -10 after Lilia Vu made a strong four-under 68 in her final round, which was the joint-lowest score of the day and thus equalized the leader Angel Yin and overtake Nelly Korda.

Thus, Lilia Vu and Angel Yin played in a playoff, which Lilia Vu won and claimed her first major title and the first of the season with victory at the Chevron Championship.

Nelly Korda reminded third with par -9, while Allisen Corpuz, A Lim Kim, Atthaya Thitikul, Albane Valenzuela and Amy Yang are fourth with par -8.

“I can’t even put into words what I was feeling. I was nervous, I was scared, I was cold. “I just wanted to hit the putt and be done with it”, said Lilia Vu after the victory. “Everything happens for a reason… I don’t know how I pulled this out, but I’m just really happy!”, finished she.

Lilia Kha-Tu Du Vu is an American professional golfer. In 2021, she won three titles on the Symetra Tour. Today, she won her first major LPGA Tour’s title.
