German team with lead driver Laura Nolte won the Olympic title in the women’s bobsleigh. Laura Nolte’s team was the fastest during all 4 series, setting a track record in the third series – 1:00.70 min. The German Laura Nolte, who is partnering with Deborah Levi, finished with a total time of 4:03.96 min.
Another German team, led by Mariama Jamanka, finished with the silver medals with a total time of 4:04.73 min. In third place was the American bean with co-driver Elana Meyers Taylor, who finished 1.52 seconds behind the champions.
Only the American team broke the complete German hegemony, as the third German team, led by Kim Kalicki, finished in fourth place.
