Larissa Iapichino won the long jump gold at the Monaco Diamond League

Istanbul 2023 European indoor long jump silver medalist Larissa Iapichino recorded her second diamond victory of the season. The 21-year-old Italian, who has held the European Under-20 title since 2019, won the Monaco Diamond League competition with a personal best of 6.95m (0.3 m/s). Larissa Iapichino, who just days ago also won European gold for girls U23 in Espoo, registered this result in her last attempt to achieve a personal best. She had an outdoor best of 6.93m to date.

American Tara Davis-Woodhall finished second with 6.88m (0.2m/sec). Two-time world and three-time European indoor champion Ivana Spanovic-Vuleta (Serbia) placed third with 6.86m (0.0m/s), a personal best for the season for her.

Larissa Iapichino is an Italian long jumper who won silver medal at the 2023 European Indoor Championships. She start her youth carrier winning gold medal at the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships. On 20 February 2021, Larissa Iapichino long jumped 6.91m a World Record Under-20 years
