Finnish cross-country skier Kerttu Niskanen won a second Tour de Ski start after winning the 20km classic pursuit at the Swiss winter center of Davos. Jessie Diggins (USA) maintained her leading position in the general classification despite falling in today’s race.
Kerttu Niskanen triumphed with a time of 1:12.00.7 hours. In second place was Rosie Brennan (USA) – only eight hundredths away from the winner of the highly contested competition. This was the seventh victory of the Finnish cross-country skier for the World Cup.
Jessie Diggins finished third, nearly 9 seconds behind Kerttu Niskanen. The American skier, the 2021 winner, held her left hip after the final because of the fall.
The top five is completed by two Swedes – Jonna Sundling and Frida Karlsson.
The last two starts of the “Tour de Ski” will be in Val di Fiemme (Italy) during the weekend.
