Keflavik reduced the lead of Valur at the Iceland Premier League Women’s final play-off after winning the third leg match by 78-66 (28-13, 19-11, 12-18, 19-24) as a host. Thus, Valur leads the series by 2-1.
Keflavik took a good lead at the beginning of the match and thanks to it, succeeded to keep some advantage to the end, as the second half was totally for the visitors. However, this was not enough for them to succeed to grab the 3rd win and winning the series.
Daniela Wallen was the most valuable player in the match with a double-double – 24 pts, 12 rebs, and 3 asts. Emelia Gunnarsdottir and Karina Konstantinova added 12 pts each for the victory.
Kiana Johnson was the most effective player for the visitors with 17 pts, 8 rebs, and 6 asts, while Simone Gabriel Costa added 16 pts, 3 rebs, and 2 asts.
The next match between Keflavik and Valur will be played on April 28 in Reykjavik.
