Two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison has chosen to stay in the PFL. The 31-year-old American has twice won the PFL Lightweight title. At the end of last year, she won the tournament and became the champion in the organization for the second time.
Kayla Harrison also collected a 1 million USD cheque and became a free agent. In recent months, she has attended UFC and Bellator MMA gala evenings and has been in talks with the world’s two largest MMA organizations.
It was rumored that Kayla Harrison could also enter wrestling to perform under the WWE banner. However, this will not happen and Ariel Helwani says that the PFL is closest to signing with their champion.
Kayla Harrison wanted to enter the UFC to fight Amanda Nunes, but she lost one of her titles in a fight with Julianna Pena and apparently that repelled Kayla Harrison.
Kayla Harrison has a personal MMA record of 12-0-0 (W-L-D).
