Katie Nageotte won the pole vault gold at World Athletics Championships in Eugene

The US athletes continued their extremely strong performance at the home World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The Olympic champion in the pole vault from Tokyo, Katie Nageotte, added the world gold to her collection. The 31-year-old American won the title with the best result in the world for the season of 4.85 meters.

With the same result, but due to more wrong attempts, this winter’s indoor world champion Sandi Morris (USA) came second. For the 30-year-old Sandi Morris, this is the third consecutive silver medal from the outdoor world championships. She was also second at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Australian Nina Kennedy fought for the bronze medal with achievement of 4.80 meters.

Kathryn Nageotte is an American athlete, specializing in pole vaulting. She won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Women’s pole vault. She is also a gold medalist from 2018 NACAC Championships in Toronto, as well as a silver medalist from 2018 Athletics World Cup in London.
