The American athlete Katie Moon won the gold in the women’s pole vault at the Florence Diamond League. She cleared the height of 4.71m in the second attempt, as well as the silver medalist Tina Sutej (Slovenia), who did it from the the third attempt. Thus, the reigning world champion Katie Moon won her second Diamond League gold for the season, after triumphing in Doha in early May.
The bronze in the women’s pole vault at the Florence Diamond League remained for the Australian athlete Nina Kennedy, who cleared 4.61m. Roberta Bruni (Italy) and Sandi Morris (USA) remained out of the honors’ zone, although clearing the same height as the bronze medalist.
At the women’s long jump, the European indoor medalist Larissa Iapichino (Italy) claimed her biggest victory over a world-class field, leaping 6.79m to earn the gold. She denied the US jumper Tara Davis-Woodhall (6.74m) and Ukraine’s Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk (6.59m), who won silver and bronze, respectively.
The American athlete Valarie Allman won the gold at the 65.96m, while Feng Bin (China) remained with silver 65.91m and Shanice Craft (Germany) is third with 64.47m.
