British athlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson won two events on her return to the Loughborough International. In her first event since the Commonwealth Games last August, she won the 100m hurdles and 4x400m relay.
The 2019 Doha World heptathlon champion won the 100m hurdles event with 13.73 sec, thus, being 0.8 sec ahead of Mia McIntosh.
Johnson-Thompson ran the second leg of the 4x400m relay, in the England’s team comprising of Ama Pipi, Poppy Malik and Louise Evanswhich, which won in a time of 3:37.03 min.
Katarina Johnson-Thompson also competed at the shot put, where finished the ninth by 13.13m.
The Loughborough International Athletics event is traditionally seen as the beginning of the outdoor season. The next start of the British athlete will be in Austria next weekend. There she hopes to guarantee a place for the World Cup in Budapest from August 19 to 27.
