Karolina Muchova qualified for the semi-finals of the Roland Garros

Karolina Muchova qualified for the semi-finals of the Grand Slam tournaments for the second time in her career. In the quarter-finals of the French Open, the 26-year-old Czech tennis player defeated the Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova by 2-0 (7:5, 6:2). Thus, for the second time after the 2021 Australian Open, she reached the top4 of a Grand Slam tournament and closes to win one of the most prestigious tennis trophies of the season.

There was intrigue in the match only in the first set, in which the 2021 Roland Garros finalist Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova twice managed to catch up a break in favor of her opponent. However, the Russian was broken for the third time in the 11th game of the match, after which Karolina Muchova closed the first set of her serve by 7:5.

In the second set, Karolina Muchova took the initiative from the very beginning, led by 5:1 and ended the match exactly 100 minutes after its start.

For a place in the final, Karolina Muchova will play with the second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus), who defeated Elina Svitolina (Ukraine) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:4).
