Bobsleigh athlete Kaillie Humphries is expected to win the Olympic title of monobob in the debut of the discipline of winter games. The world champion triumphed convincingly with a time of 4:19.27 min, and in the first round yesterday she set a record with 1:04.44 min.
The 36-year-old Kaillie Humphries, born in Calgary, Canada, won the third Olympic gold of her career after the double bean triumphs at the Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014. She also has a bronze medal from PyeongChang 2018.
Elana Meyers Taylor from the USA also won the silver medal with a lag of 1.54 sec. She won her fourth Olympic medal after two more silver medals and one bronze in the double bean at the last three Winter Games.
Canadian Christine de Bruin, who achieved the greatest success in her career, finished third in 1.76 sec.
