Julie Zogg won the parallel slalom of the Snowboard World Cup in Bansko

Switzerland’s Julie Zogg defeated Austria’s Sabine Schoffmann in the final of the parallel slalom of the Snowboard World Cup in Bansko, to top the women’s general classification.

Julie Zogg was also the fastest in the qualifications, and in the final, she finished with eight-hundredths ahead of Sabine Schoffmann. Thus, the Swiss, the 2019 parallel slalom world champion from Utah, won her 11th world cup victory and 10th in parallel slalom. The 30-year-old snowboarder is also on the podium for the 30th time, the third time this winter. She is now the leader in the World Cup standings with 216 points, six more than Daniela Ulbing (Austria).

“I’m happy to get my first win of the season. I did a good qualifying and I was fast at the bottom of the track. In the final I kept calm and knew I would break away at the end”, said Julie Zogg.

Another Swiss finished third – Jessica Keiser, who defeated Daniela Ulbing in the small final. Thus, Jessica Keiser reached the first podium of his career at the age of 28.
