Julia Simon won the women’s 10km pursuit at the Biathlon World Cup in Kontiolahti

The French biathlete Julia Simon won the women’s 10km pursuit at the Biathlon World Cup in Kontiolahti (Finland), which took place in heavy snowfall.

Julia Simon knocked down all 20 targets and completed the course in 31:13.0 minutes. For her, this is the first success of the season and the fifth in her career.

The Italian Dorothea Wierer remained second also without a shooting error, but with a passive of 11.9 seconds.

Sweden’s Elvira Oberg was third, 21.7 seconds behind, and Lisa Vittozzi (Italy) was fourth, 26.3 seconds behind. Both missed one target each.

In the general ranking for the World Cup, Lisa Vittozzi leads with 185 points, ahead of Julia Simon with 160 and Hanna Oberg (Sweden) with 140 points.
