Jessica Schilder defended her shot put European title

Dutch athlete Jessica Schilder defended her shot put European title after clearing 18.77m in her best attempt.

Her compatriot Jorinde van Klinken completed the triumph of the Netherlands and won the silver with 18.67m, and the bronze went to Yemisi Ogunleye (Germany) with 18.62 m.

The Top 5 was completed by Alina Kenzel (Germany) and María Belen Toimil (Spain) with 18.55m and 18.43m, respectively.

Jessica Schilder had outdoors personal best is 20.24m, which is a Dutch record, and her indoors personal best is 19.48m. She is two-time bronze medalist at the world championships (outdoor and indoor) and a two-time gold medalist at the European championships (outdoor).
