Japan’s Kaori Sakamoto won the women’s short program at the fourth Grand Prix figure skating tournament of the season in Tokyo. For her performance, she received 76.56 points after performing a triple Lutz, a double axel and a combination of a triple flip – a triple toe loop.
Second, at the moment is her compatriot Mana Kawabe with 73.88 points, and third is Korean You Young with 68.08 points.
Russia’s Daria Usacheva was taken out of the ice on her hands after suffering an injury. She fell after a double flip during the warm-up before the short program. For this reason, she withdrew from the race.
World champions Anastasia Mishina and Aleksandr Galliamov took the lead after the short program for sports couples. They received a score of 78.40 for their composition.
In second place are their compatriots Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov with 75.78 points, and the third position is occupied by the representatives of the hosts Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara with 73.98 points.
World champions Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov of Russia took the lead after the rhythmic dance in the dance pairs with 86.33 points. They are European champions for 2020 and silver medalists of the world championship in 2019.
The second position is occupied by Madison Chock and Evan Bates (USA) with 86.02 points, and the third are the British Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson with 76.43 points.
