Jamaica sends a team of 16 athletes to the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Belgrade

Jamaica will compete with a team of 16 athletes at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Belgrade. The team includes two-time medalist from world championships Danniel Thomas-Dodd, the leader in the world rankings for the 60-meter hurdles season Danielle Williams and multiple Olympic medalist Shericka Jackson. The championship is from March 18 to 20.

Danielle Williams tops the world rankings for the season at 60m hurdles with 7.75 sec.

Silver and bronze medalist from the World Triple Jump Championships Kimberly Williams was also included in the Jamaican team.

However, the Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson-Herah, who announced earlier in the season that her participation in Belgrade was uncertain, will miss the World Indoor Athletics Championships.
