The 2023 Budapest long jump world champion Ivana Spanovic-Vuleta scored a dramatic victory at the Diamond League Final in Eugene. The Serbian claimed first place and her fifth diamond trophy after jumping 6.85m (0.2 m/s) on her sixth final attempt.
Olympic and world medalist Ese Brume (Nigeria) also finished with 6.85m (0.0), but was second due to a weaker second attempt – 6.77m for Ivana Spanovic-Vuleta against 6.69m for Ese Brume.
American athlete Quanesha Burks earned the bronze with 6.77m (0.2m/sec).
The the triple jump, Yulimar Rojas (Venezuela) won her third Diamond League Final trophy, jumping a meeting record 15.35m The silver went to Shanieka Ricketts (Jamaica) with 15.03m, while the bronze was for her compatriot Kimberly Williams with 14.61m.
Dariya Derkach (Italy) missed the honor for a while, jumping a personal best of 14.52m.
