Ivana Spanovic-Vuleta will return on the track to jump at the European Athletics Championships in Munich

Two-time world indoor long jump champion and Rio 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Ivana Spanovic-Vuleta, who announced after the World Championships in Eugene last month that she was retiring from competition, has apparently changed her mind, albeit briefly.

From the published final lists of participants for the European Athletics Championships in Munich, it is clear that the 32-year-old Serbian will still start in her main event. Ivana Spanovic-Vuleta has a seasonal best of 6.66m and a yearly best of 7.06m from the winter season.

The Serbian, who has three European indoor titles, has won two medals at continental outdoor forums. In 2014 in Zurich she was second, and in 2016 in Amsterdam she was champion.

Ivana Spanovic-Vuleta is the reigning World indoor champion, as well as three times European indoor champion. Her personal best outdoor result in the long jump is 7.10 m, achieved at Beograd, Serbia, on September 11, 2016, while her best indoor result in the long jump is 7.24 m, achieved at Kombank Arena, Beograd, on March 5, 2017.
