The flyweight MMA fighter Irina Alekseeva, who has the nickname “Russian Ronda”, has signed a contract with UFC. Irina Alekseeva’s manager, Brian Butler of Suckerpunch Entertainment, announced the signing.
Irina Alekseeva will join the UFC fighters list and will not go through the Contender Series of Dana White. She will fight the strawweight category in her promotional debut.
Irina Alekseeva previously appeared at Bellator 269, where she defeated Stephanie Ielo Page via unanimous decision in October 2021. She is 32 years old and has a personal MMA record of 4-1-0 (W-L-D) in MMA. She has won multiple championships in combat sambo and is a three-time silver medalist at the Russian Judo Championships. She is also a multiple “hand-to-hand combat champion”.
Irina Alekseeva made her professional MMA debut on March 9, 2019, versus Gulnara Garaeva at the Russian Cagefighting Championship – RCC Intro 3. She won the fight via TKO in the first round.
