Iga Swiatek retained the world’s number one in the WTA ranking

The Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek retained the world’s number one in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking with 10,485 points. The second position is already occupied by the new Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) with 6,100 points, and the third with 5,210 points is Ons Jabeur (Tunisia).

Jessica Pegula (USA) and Caroline Garcia (France) dropped by one place and are fourth (with 5,000 points) and fifth (with 4,645 points), respectively.

The Australian Open 2023 runner-up Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) entered the top 10, climbing 15 places to tenth in the rankings.

In the doubles ranking, Katerina Siniakova (Czech Republic) remains the leader after defending the doubles title at the Australian Open 2023 together with Barbora Krejcikova, who dropped by one place to No 3.

Cori “Coco” Gauff (USA) climbed to world’s No 2 in doubles after reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2023 together with Jessica Pegula (USA)
