The world’s number one did not allow the American to reach a single break point and ended the match in just 54 minutes. In the next round, the 21-year-old Iga Swiatek will face Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic.
Maria Sakkari (Greece) also advances in the Qatari capital after a 2-0 (6:3, 6:2) success against Ekaterina Alexandrova.
