The world’s tennis number one Iga Swiatek has changed her equipment supplier and will now be dressed by the Swiss company On. This was announced by the Polish tennis player on social networks. Until that moment, she was dressed by the Japanese Asics.
“I’m thrilled to announce that I’m the first female tennis player to be dressed by On”, wrote Iga Swiatek.
Interesting fact is that the sportswear company is co-owned by legend Roger Federer.
The Swiss company started out developing shoes for walking and running, and has now moved on to full gear. She has also signed 20-year-old American tennis player Ben Shelton, who reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open in January, his first time out of the US.
“Iga and Ben brilliantly represent the next generation of tennis talent. These two players embody the competitive spirit of On and fit into the history of tennis legends”, wrote Roger Federer, who has invested in the company since 2019 and was involved in the creation of the first pair tennis footwear.
