Iga Swiatek vs Kvitova Miami Open

The Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek continues her incredible series at the women’s tennis tournament WTA 1000 Miami Open and after beating her Czech opponent Petra Kvitova with 2-0 (6:3, 6:3), she is already in the semi-finals.

Iga Swiatek, who arrived in Miami in full confidence after the titles in Doha (Qatar) and Indian Wells, created problems with almost every service of the two-time Wimbledon champion v and beat her in 77 minutes.

Iga Swiatek herself did not give a breakpoint to her opponent, which she broke three times the serve of the Czech. The match went equal in the first set to 2:2, but then the second-seeded Polish player took her serve and broke at 15 to ensure a comfortable lead. In the second set, Petra Kvitova saved four break points at 2:1 but failed on her next serve game, and Iga Swiatek closed the set at 6:3.

Thus, the Polish player registered her 15th consecutive victory.

Iga Swiatek qualified for the semifinals, where she will meet the representative of the USA Jessica Pegula.

The 16th-seeded Jessica Pegula had only 18 minutes to play against Paola Badosa, who left the court due to illness.
