Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek continue her winning series and qualifies for the quarterfinals of the strong tennis tournament WTA 1000 Miami Open.

The 20-year-old tennis player, who will become the world’s number one on April 4 after the retirement of Ashleigh Barty, prevailed over 14th-seeded Cori “Coco” Gauff with 2-0 (6:3, 6:1) and recorded her 14th consecutive victory – the best series in her professional career so far. In addition, Iga Swiatek has not lost a single WTA 1000 tournament this season – she has won consecutive trophies at the Qatar Open and Indian Wells Open. In the next round, she will compete with the Czech player Petra Kvitova, who eliminated 21st-seeded Veronika Kudermetova with 2-0 (7:6, 6:4).

The Spanish player Paula Badosa also easily overcame the fourth round, after winning with 2-0 (6:2, 6:3) over the 16-years-old Czech talent Linda Fruhvirtova. In the next round, the 5th-seeded Spanish player will face 16th-seeded Jessica Pegula. The American was more than categorical against Anhelina Kalinina (Ukraine) after 6:0 and the resignation of the Ukrainian player.

Olympic champion Belinda Bencic defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich (Belarus) with 2-0 (6:2, 6:3). The Swiss will play in the quarterfinals with Daria Saville (Australia).

Naomi Osaka also continues the battle for the trophy. The Japanese defeated Alison Riske (USA) with 2-0 (6:3, 6:4), and in the next round, she will face the 9th-seeded Danielle Collins. The American broke the resistance of 8th-seeded Tunisian Ons Jabeur after 2-0 (6:2, 6:4).
